I bought this thing so I can keep it on and updated and launch a game whenever I want to play. I wind up spending more time cleaning house than playing games. Problem is since I so infrequently have time to game, every time I login Windows needs a bunch of updates, new drivers have been released, and Steam is out of date. With the wife and kids I have an iMac as the only PC capable of gaming in my house so every time I want to play a game I reboot into bootcamp.
I sprung for the i5 version in hopes that it will not be obsolete quite as quickly and I can eventually re-purpose it once it's no longer cutting it for games.
I know it's not the most flexible or powerful gaming PC out there but as a long time PC gamer who's grown up and found myself with a career and family I appreciate the simplicity of this thing.
